The stuff you should know!
The stuff you should know!
What can we expect from Valor Construction?
The Valor Construction team is commited to providing our clients with extraordinary customer service, and quality craftmanship.
From start to finish, we strive to provide a comfortable, and stress free experience.
While your space is under construction, our knowledgable, friendly and trustworthy team will work with you to ensure your home life remains as undisrupted as possible. Your project will be completed efficiently, and on schedule, giving you the peace of mind that you deserve.
How do we start working together?
Our project manager will meet with you on site to view your space. We will discuss your requirements, timeline expectations and any budget that we should be mindful of. While we’re there, we will take any measurements that we may need.
After this first meeting, we will draft an estimate which will outline total scope, and estimated cost. From there, we will discuss any revisions that need to be made, and address any questions you my have.
After we’ve established our plan together, we will provide a contract to sign, and your project will be underway!
Who designs my space?
We love when clients know exactly what they want!…but that’s not always the case…And that’s okay!
We will work with you to gain insight into your functionality requirements and personal aesthetic. From there, we will suggest layouts, design features and style elements that we think will be perfect for your home.
How does payment work?
Your contract will outline a payment schedule that makes sense for your project.
Valor Construction Inc. accepts Mastercard, Visa, or Cheque/Money Order.
If your start date is a few months away, we will typically require a small non refundable deposit to secure and hold your spot in our calendar. *We will refund your deposit up to 10 days if you change your mind.
A typical payment structure is as follows:
-Upon starting, a 30% payment is due (to which any initial deposit goes toward).
-At the mid point in your project, a following 35% will become due.
-At completion, we will do a final walk through with you, and ensure all of your expectations have been met. At this point, we will have you sign off on the finished project, and the final 35% payment is due.
Do we have to move out of our home during our renovation?
This decision is completely up to you!
You’ve probably heard it before…”Never try to live through a renovation!!”
…While this statement is a bit dramatic, it can hold some truth.
Many people feel that with enough preparation, they will have no problem living amongst a renovation. Fast forward a few weeks later, and even the most patient people can find themselves on the brink of a meltdown!
There are many reasons why renovations can be stressful. There are tradespeople in your space, construction can be messy, your belongings are displaced, and your regular routine is interrupted.
While we always do our best to ensure your life remains as undisrupted as possible, we ask that you consider the scope of your project in relation to your lifestyle before deciding to remain in your home during your renovation. If you do choose to remain in home, we will work with you to create a plan that works for everyone.
